White Cube wishes a happy birthday to Cinga Samson!   ‘Isizekabani’ (2024) is on view as part of the exhibition in ‘Alien Shores’ at White Cube Bermondsey. The painting marks a shift for Cinga as it omits his typical tableaux of figures; instead, it depicts a crouching panther looming over its bloodied prey, enveloped in the twisted branches and foliage.   The landscape echoes the rich ecological diversity of South Africa’s native landscape.
