Happy Birthday Liu Wei! 🎉 Last year Liu Wei’s solo exhibition ‘Liberation Routes’ took place at CC Foundation in Shanghai. Speaking about the exhibition, the artist said, ‘Liberation Routes lifts the veil of the surreal disguised as reality, revealing a world in perpetual motion—both as a journey and landscape.’ Part of a generation in China that grew up in a period of rapidly accelerating urbanisation, Liu Wei has frequently turned to architectural and urban themes in his work.
