#OnThisDay in 1925 the Globe newspaper reported that there was a new telephone exchange in town. The Bell Telephone Company of Canada's "Lombard" exchange on Dufferin Street, just north of Bloor, was housed in a stately new building. Today, this building continues to be owned by Bell Canada.
