White Cube wishes Sergej Jensen a Happy Birthday! Primarily known for his textile works, Sergej’s lyrical compositions can incorporate a variety of fabrics, from burlap and linen to silk and wool, to create works that waver between abstraction and representation. In his 2024 exhibition ‘Older Works and Shadow Paintings’ at White Cube Bermondsey, the artist presented a selection of work from the past 20 years alongside a suite of 50 new paintings, providing a reflective narrative on the medium of painting within his practice.
