In the Studio with Emma Webster ✨ Emma discusses the process of creating her artworks from scenes initially constructed in virtual reality using a collation of sketches, photos, watercolours and clay sculptures. Two of the artist’s paintings – ‘Borrow Every Forest’ (2025) and ‘Sun Valley’ (2025) – are currently on view in ‘Alien Shores’ at White Cube Bermondsey. Meditating on the beauty of nature as well as the impact of technology and human destruction, the painted landscapes invite the viewer into an immersive, haunting scene, devoid of any human presence. ‘Alien Shores’ is on view at White Cube Bermondsey until 7 September 2025.
