Now Open: Sara Flores: ‘Bakish Mai’ at White Cube Bermondsey 🌿✨ The exhibition presents a recent series of patterned, abstract paintings and a new film by Peruvian artist and activist Sara Flores. Through these recent works, Sara offers conceptual representations of Shipibo-Konibo ancestral knowledge – mappings of the Amazonian cosmos and histories made visible on the painted surface. The Shipibo-Konibo peoples stand as guardians, protectors and stewards of the vast sacred Amazon rainforest, and are the second largest indigenous community in this region of Peru.
