Preview Invitation: Salvatore Emblema at White Cube Hong Kong (Tuesday 27 May 2025, 5–8pm) Join us for an evening celebrating the opening of Salvatore Emblema’s (1929–2006) first solo presentation in Asia on Tuesday 27 May from 5–8pm. The exhibition showcases a selection of the late artist’s paintings and a sculpture spanning from the 1960s to the 1990s, charting the influence of landscape on the material compositions and conceptual foundations of his work. Working with permeable materials like sack cloth and jute canvas, and pigments extracted from the volcanic terrain of southern Italy, Emblema explored the interplay between space, colour, texture and light.
