GivingTuesday Spark Chapter Leader Joel is showing up for his community in Ghana by mobilizing resources to support menstrual equity in the region. Alongside the Awudome Tsito Technical Institute’s Headmistress and Peace Corps volunteers, Joel has been working diligently to create reusable sanitary towels and gather menstrual products to ensure his peers have access to the resources they need to thrive. He’s also been educating his community on how to make sanitary towels, leading to even more people having access. Most women in the region struggle to find affordable menstrual products and related support, with Joel’s help, that is starting to change.
