This past October, we concluded our fifth dermatological expedition in Mozambique, along with the Africa Direct Foundation, successfully providing care for over 1,000 people with albinism in just 10 days. This expedition involved fifteen volunteer dermatologists, with Dr. Elise Weisert representing the U.S. Together, they carried out the mission, successfully treating over 1,000 patients and performing 155 surgeries for precancerous tumors and skin cancers at hospitals in Maputo, Xai-Xai, Beira, and Tete Province.
