TRENDING: Raiders rookie WR Dont’e Thornton Jr. could have a “feature role” in the team’s passing game this season🏴☠️
Thornton Jr., who was selected in the fourth-round, earned a starting job after an impressive training camp and is emerging as a weapon for the Raiders’ offense.
“Dont’e Thornton Jr. may have earned a feature role in Raider’s offense after preseason. If Thornton Jr. can parlay his impressive training camp and preseason into a fast start in the 2025 NFL campaign, he could emerge as Geno Smith’s third-favorite target, behind Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers,” Andy Quach of Sports Illustrated wrote.
Thornton Jr. (6-5, 205lbs) recorded a 4.3 forty and a 10-6 broad jump at the NFL combine, and his athleticism has already been a key talking point amongst the Raiders coaching staff.
The Raiders believe they got a major steal on day three.
