#WhereAmIWednesday, we're in Italy with Kiera! Kiera is a fourth-year kinesiology major who spent part of her summer studying abroad in Rome and Florence.
"Having the opportunity to study abroad in Italy has been the experience of a lifetime, and being able to visit historical sites and museums that mark the beginnings of the connection between art and anatomy is something I would have never imagined possible. One of the most memorable moments of the seminar was visiting the anatomical wax museum in Bologna. Seeing lifelike representations of muscles, organs, and bodily systems gave me a deeper, more lasting understanding of human anatomy, something that cannot always be reflected in textbooks or classroom lectures. I am beyond incredibly thankful to SDSU and Dr. Petti for offering this program to students like myself because this program was able to both strengthen and deepen my passion for kinesiology!"
