#Breaking: Oscar-nominated actor Graham Greene, a proud Oneida from the Six Nations Reserve, has passed away at 73. Greene died Monday in Toronto after a long illness. As one of the first Indigenous actors recognized by the Academy, he opened doors for generations that followed. He is best remembered as Kicking Bird in Dances With Wolves, a role that earned him an Academy Award nomination. His career spanned decades with landmark performances in The Green Mile, Thunderheart, Maverick, and more. He is survived by his wife Hilary Blackmore, daughter Lilly Lazare-Greene, and grandson Tarlo.
