No access to a reformer, no problem! Rollga mat Pilates with Lauren Barker
This is not the prettiest version you’ll ever see - since I have a neck injury, I’m supposed to eliminate overhead exercises from my practice, so I don’t get to practice them without a lot of support.
This at least gives you an idea of what’s possible. I am actually more comfortable with doing the exercise with the Rollga - I feel like it’s easier to keep it out of my neck and in control - so when I want to practice Pilates overhead exercises, I use the Rollga instead.
Still not a great idea for everyone with neck issues, but I’ve worked a long time building up core and back strength to make it an option. If you are spine-injury free, try both ways and let me know your thoughts.
