SM East hosted its annual Friday Night Lights event on Aug. 29 on the football field. The night began with scrimmages, including a fifth grade lancer youth scrimmage at 5:15 p.m., followed by sixth grade all the way up to the freshman team. The freshman cheerleaders were alongside them to cheer them on through the game. The night continued with a 6:40 p.m. performance by the JV and varsity Lancer Dancers and a 6:50 p.m. show by the Marching Lancers. The night ended as the varsity and JV cheerleaders performed their routines for the crowd.
