The Imaging Institute challenged AI/ML developers to solve one of biology's biggest bottlenecks — and they delivered! CryoET can image the biology within intact cells at sub-nanometre resolution, but the images are noisy and low contrast, meaning it can take months to figure out what you’re looking at by hand.
