How does one cell become an entire body? Merlin Lange, Loic Royer and scientists at #CZBiohubSF tackled one of biology’s biggest questions. By building bespoke microscopy tools, they were able to track single cells in high resolution within individual zebrafish embryos. A five year labor of love, they used this technology to build a comprehensive atlas of vertebrate development in exquisite detail. Named the Zebrahub, this open access atlas will be a foundational blueprint for future studies on how organisms, including humans, develop.
