Airman 1st Class Brittain Crolley: After several months of being away from their families, hundreds of
#Airmen were returning to Seymour Johnson to be reunited with them. It was the perfect opportunity to capture so many magical moments.
Since
#April is the Month of the
#MilitaryChild, I wanted to focus my attention on the children and their reactions to seeing their moms and dads. It was a pretty chaotic scene; really hard to control the background and time the shots perfectly. You really just had to be in the right place at the right time. That was the case for this shot.
Sergeant Denby dropped to the ground to hug his niece, so I stayed high to keep the under control as much as possible and have a great angle for the little girl’s face. She was so happy and I feel like the photo really captures that emotion.
