In this, our 11th year, we humbly invite you all to partner with us for the 2022 Our Past Kwibuka project no 1 of constructing a home for Vestine Akimana and her family. USE OF FUNDS Akimana is genocide survivor, a Mother of 4 kids and a grandson. Akimana (in a yellow kitenge) was paralyzed in 2019 during the birth of her 4th child. Furthermore, in 2020 her daughter Angelique (in a green kitenge dress) who was 17 years old at the time got pregnant. The family doesn’t have a place to call home and they aren't able to support themselves. Our Past Initiative is embarking on building a house for this family and help them to become self-sufficient. You too can be part of this journey by donating to this project and we build together a home for Akimana and her family.
