Diego Velazquez inspired more than just Dalí's iconic mustache. Did you know that one of Dalí's masterworks is an interpretation of the artist’s, The Infanta? Dalí transformed this traditional Spanish subject by connecting it with his theory of nuclear-mysticism of the 1950’s. To suggest the pattern of atomic particles, Dalí forms the Infanta’s body out of calligraphic squiggles.
