"The Shadow Belongs to Light" is a collaborative book project that began with Dali Museum Director Hank Hine and Eduardo Chillida in the early 90s. It was brought to fruition by Dr. Hine and Eduardo's son, Ignacio, in celebration of our current exhibition, "Memory, Mind, Matter: The Sculpture of Eduardo Chillida." . The book combines the artwork of Eduardo Chillida with the written work of Louis Kahn on handmade paper and with handset text (printed in graphite). Thousands of pounds of pressure per square inch was used to press metal etching plates (crafted by Chillida), to permanently change the paper into a sculpture. #booksMW #MuseumWeek #ChillAtTheDali #TheDali
