The inaugural exhibition of the Hyundai Translocal Series, “Hyundai Translocal Series: Entangled and Woven” opens at the Cheongju Craft Biennale 2025 and will be on view until November 2, 2025. As part of Hyundai Motor’s long-term commitment to artistic collaborations that cultivate new dialogues, Hyundai Translocal Series connects institutions across continents to explore shared values through co-curated exhibitions, research, and public programs. This new partnership initiative brings together the Cheongju Craft Biennale 2025 and the Whitworth, The University of Manchester to present the inaugural exhibition, in collaboration with the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy in New Delhi. Centered on the theme of craft and community, this exhibition features eight artists and collectives based in Korea and India whose practices reimagine textile traditions through material, memory, and place.
