DO
- Use retinol only at night. Retinol can make your skin more sensitive to UV rays.
- Apply SPF every morning to protect your skin from harmful UV rays (you should do this whether or not you're using retinol!)
- Ease into it., suggests introducing retinol slowly and gently into your skincare routine to avoid irritation. Start off with a pea-sized amount of a low percentage (01% to 0.03%) twice a week until your skin acclimates.
-Moisturize after applying to help hydrate skin and reduce the risk of irritation.
