I truly believed l’d be there forever. The decision to step away was not easy, but necessary. As a minority woman in a male dominated field, the challenges are constant. Speaking up often means being met with hostility and the lack of advocacy makes it difficult to thrive in environments where you are expected to endure rather than be empowered. From my first day to my last I gave everything to represent with heart, pride, and purpose. Thank you to those who truly saw me, supported me, and stood by me.
