The glove-makers use a traditional technique that takes its name from a 19th-century glove-maker from Grenoble, France, called Jouvin. He invented the “iron-hand” shape-cutter which is used to cut out the exact shape for each finger. Over the past three decades, Hermès has expanded throughout France by setting up several production sites and workshops in regions that nurture a long history of specific savoir-faire. Meet the artisans behind Hermès’ sustainable craftsmanship until the 24th October 2021 at Hermès In The Making, Danish Architecture Center in Copenhagen. #TheTalentOfOurRegions #KnowHow #GloveMaker #HermesInTheMaking #Hermes
