💚COMMUNITIES NEED CLINICS! In a rapidly changing climate of abortion access, independent clinics (“Indies”) 🧡continue to lead the way, collectively providing the majority of abortion care in the US. Despite being under resourced, these clinics provide care when and where others do not—operating in the most hostile states, providing care as pregnancy progresses, and advocating for abortion access. 🆘 Yet independent clinic closures are unrelenting: 65 independent clinics have been forced to close since Roe v Wade was overturned, and 14 states are without a single abortion clinic. Most people believe abortion should be legal and accessible, and people want clinics in their states. Communities need the care, resilience, and bravery of independent providers, who innovate and take risks to serve their communities in the face of abortion bans, harassment, and systemic inequities.
