✨Today is Abortion Provider Appreciation Day! On this day, 29 years ago in 1993, Dr. Gunn was murdered outside his Florida clinic, targeted due to his work: providing safe abortion care. Every March 10th, we #CelebrateAbortionProviders to honor Dr. Gunn’s legacy and show gratitude to those providing vital health care at great personal risk. Dr. Gunn was murdered by an extremist. And Dr. Barnett Slepian in 1998. And Dr. George Tiller in 2009. On Abortion Provider Appreciation Day, we honor the memories of care providers assassinated by anti-abortion white supremacists.
