She was 27 years old. She loved classic rock and was a semester away from finishing college when she made the decision to have an abortion. Rosie could not afford to pay for a procedure at a clinic, and died after an unsafe abortion.⁠ ⁠ 🌹 Rosie should have been able to use her Medicaid health insurance to pay for her abortion, but she was not able to because politicians passed the #HydeAmendment to ban public insurance from covering abortion care the year before her death.
