When I found out I was pregnant, I immediately knew that abortion was the right choice for me. I’m 27, and have decided that being a mom isn’t what I want to do with my life. I’ve received a lot of questions and judgement, specifically because I work in childcare. Kids are incredible and I appreciate them in so many ways, but being a parent is a huge decision and just not what my partner and I want in our lives. My partner was very supportive of whatever decision I made, but it was still difficult because my family does not agree with abortion…it made me feel lonely not being able to share my feelings with anyone aside from my partner.
