#WorldPostcardDay! Let us tell you about Gabrielle Ray, the postcard sensation.
Ray was an actress, dancer, and singer who starred in many of London’s West End productions during the late 19th and early 20th century.
At the height of her fame, she posed for thousands of photos. Many were printed and traded as picture postcards, which spread her image across Europe. Due to these prolific portraits, she was believed to be one of the most photographed women of her time.
