“Judy Baca: Hitting the Wall” is on view at the Getty Center through September 4. Gracing a freeway underpass in downtown Los Angeles, Judy Baca’s “Hitting the Wall” mural is one of the city’s most iconic works of art. The exhibition highlights the design, painting, destruction, and renewal of Baca’s 1984 artwork, as well as an actual-size reproduction of part of the mural. Tomorrow at 11 a.m. we will be hosting a live Q&A on mural art with sparcinla, judy_baca, and Getty’s experts. What would you like to know about public art murals? Ask us anything via Instagram stories, and we will get your question answered! images: 1. La Salsera (The Salsa Dancer), 2022, Judith F. Baca. Commissioned by the J.
