For
#EarthDay, the artwork “Come Dance—Asked Nature Kindly” by huldaguzman has been installed in Los Angeles at 8752 Sunset Boulevard as part of
#ACoolMillionCampaign.
The campaign is public arts initiative for climate awareness led by artists and institutions to expand environmental justice programming and support the conservation of one million acres of land.
The painting, part of MASP's collection, is a celebration of nature. The work seeks to transmit a sense of communion, of realizing people's interconnectedness and being humbled by the cycles of planet earth and the universe. The painting is a call for urgency to revere nature in a moment when its threat and destruction are looming.
