Architect James Strutt designed his own home to push the boundaries of geometric design and construction techniques. This house launched a career-long exploration of how to achieve maximum structural strength with the most minimal, lightweight materials. This home represents a deceptively simple combo of architectural design and building science, including the wooden paraboloid roof, the first of its kind in Canada.
