Interior inspo from 1904. What do you think? Tell us in the comments. These are photographs of the Hill House, designed by Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. He believed in the idea of a house being a "total work of art" and applied this principle to the Hill House made for publisher Walter W. Blackie. Located outside of Glasgow, the building departed from its Arts and Crafts counterparts to also include Art Nouveau, Scottish Baronial, Vienna Workshop, and Japonisme styles, and decisively shaped the course of modern design.
