If your toddler’s deep in snotty season, here are some tips to help them deal with all the sneezes, coughs and itchy eyes that come along with allergies.
💨 First figure out if it’s actually allergies and not a bug. Coughing, sneezing, congestion, a runny nose, and watery eyes are all tell-tale signs of seasonal allergies.
🏠 Pollen counts are highest in the midmorning and early evening, so try to stick to indoor activities during these hours when possible.
🛁 Pollen will stick around on your skin, hair, and clothes even after you come inside, so wash hands and faces or take a bath as soon as you get home.
🪟 Allergy symptoms may get worse at night, so keep bedrooms pollen-free. Close windows and turn on the A/C instead, keeping the room cool, dry, and clean. An air purifier will help filter out allergens too.
🤧 Pollen causes your kids’ already small nasal passages to swell and fill with snot. Clear their nose with some saline and the NoseFrida or Electric NoseFrida.
