Did you know there’s a grading system for your stool? 🤓It’s called the Bristol Stool Chart.⁠ ⁠ Developed in 1997 by Dr. Stephen Lewis and Dr. Ken Heaton, the Bristol Stool Chart is a universal classification tool for your #2s, characterizing them based on shape and texture.¹⁠ ⁠ The Bristol Stool Chart can give you valuable insights about what’s going on inside your digestive system, including how quickly food is moving through your GI tract (known as “Whole Gut Transit Time”).² If you’re dropping 1s and 2s, for instance, your transit time may be longer than if you’re producing 6s. ⁠ ⁠ It can also clue you in on the lifestyle changes you might benefit from making.
