Our Chief Scientist, Dr. Gregor Reid, and Seed Fellow, Brendan Daisley, have identified probiotic strains that show exciting potential to temper the effects of neonicotinoid insecticides, improve survival rates, and restore honey bee populations around the world¹. Delivered in probiotic BioPatties, these Lactobacilli strains increase immune resilience through a pathway that insects use to adapt to infection, heat, and other stresses. ⠀

Field tests have begun in Canada and California². The results are incredibly promising and the development of a spray-based formula is also underway.⠀
