On average, a microbe is almost a million times smaller than the average #human.⠀ ⠀ But lined up end to end, all the microbes on #Earth would stretch some 10 #billion light-years—beyond the #moon, beyond the #sun, beyond Alpha Centauri, out past the edge of the Milky Way, past neighboring #galaxies, all the way to the edge of the visible #universe. 💫✨🌟⠀ ⠀ If we lined up all the #humans end to end, we would only reach roughly 11.7 million kilometers into space. So, we’d make it to the moon 🌚 (384,400 km away), but fall way short of #Mars (225 million km away).⠀ ⠀ The #truth is, we live in a #microbial #world, and not the other way around.
