Right now, polar bear mothers and their newborn cubs are nestled together in snow dens throughout the Arctic. 🐻‍❄️ This period, also known as denning, is the most vulnerable time in a polar bear’s life. With our partners at @polarbearsinternational in Svalbard, Norway, we’re studying denning polar bear families to understand their needs and how increasing human activities in the Arctic may affect them.
