How many lemurs in this prosimian pile? To save lemurs, what is left of their forest habitat needs to be protected. San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance has a study site in Maromizaha, a rainforest in eastern Madagascar, to study aye-ayes. Camera traps are used to learn about this little-known lemur’s natural behavior. There are at least 13 lemur species in this area, and the cameras monitor lemur and other wildlife activities.
