NARRATOR: Are you ready kids?
US: Aye-aye, Captain! 🤓
These unusual lemurs are the only primates that use echolocation to find food. They rapidly tap their creepy middle digit on branches and listen for insect larvae dwelling in trees. Like humans, their middle finger serves many purposes: once the aye-aye locates an insect tunnel and rips open the bark with its continuously growing rodent-like teeth, they reach their freakishly flexible extremity into the hole and hook unsuspecting insects. Aye-ayes are the largest nocturnal primate and have a pretty decent following on SoundCloud.
