This is Mali. She's a critically endangered #bonobo born at the #sandiegozoo in 2007. Mali’s mother had a difficult time giving birth, which lead to some implications for the newborn. After around-the-clock care in our nursery for her first year, Mali “graduated” and joined the rest of our troop.
