It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Nola, a critically #endangered northern white #rhino who had been living at the sdzsafaripark since 1989. Nola had been under veterinary care for a bacterial infection as well as age-related issues. She was an iconic animal to the many staff who cared for her, our volunteers, guests, and for her species worldwide. Please take a moment to share your memories of Nola and your sympathy using the hashtag #Nola4Ever. Nola’s legacy will live forever as her death leaves just 3 northern white rhinos on the planet. #RIP #EndExtinction #rhinoceros
