“Just look around you. So many gifts in one place – in all of you. You’re not here just for yourself, but to build up a community.” That was part of the homily of President Fr. David Ciancimino, S.J., as he celebrated our Mass of the Holy Spirit before our entire school community in Scaccia Auditorium. The Mass is one in which our community gathers to thank God and to seek the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit for the new school year, a Jesuit school tradition for hundreds of years. Spotlighted during the Mass were Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati, two Jesuit-educated late young Italians who will be canonized on Sunday. CHS students participated in the Mass through readings and responses, choral and instrumental music and as candlebearers and crossbearer.
