The National Civil Rights Museum just announced the honorees for the 34th Annual Freedom Award—one of Memphis’ most powerful traditions of celebrating leadership and justice. ✊🏾✨
🎖️ Honorees for 2025:
• Marc H. Morial – President & CEO of the National Urban League, driving economic empowerment, education, and justice reform.
• Velma Lois Jones – A lifelong Memphian and trailblazing educator, the first woman to lead the Memphis NAACP, plus president of both the Memphis & Tennessee Education Associations.
• Mark Suzman – CEO of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, advancing global health, education, and opportunity.
