#WaxwingWinter?
As temperatures drop one of the more exotic looking species to look out for is the Waxwing. These beautiful reddish-brown birds are usually found in Scandinavia and Northern Russia, but small numbers visit the UK every winter crossing the North Sea in hunt for their favourite food … berries.
To catch a glimpse of a Waxwing, look out for them in Rowan trees or Hawthorn bushes.
