Beavers are back at Loch Lomond! 🦫 🦫🦫 Last week, we released a family of beavers on our site at RSPB Loch Lomond. 👉 Beavers are a keystone species and ecosystem engineers. Their dams change the landscape and provide homes for lots of other species, which means they are essential for biodiversity. Loch Lomond is only the third location in Scotland where a beaver translocation has taken place since the reintroduction trial at Knapdale in 2009. #beavers #biodiversity #keystonespecies #lochlomond
