Hen harriers are one of our rarest breeding birds of prey, typically found on moorland. The UK hen harrier population is failing to recover as a direct result of illegal killing by humans. Male birds continue to disappear in suspicious circumstances, and youngsters face significant danger after they leave the nest. We’re working to combat this by monitoring hen harriers with satellite tags so we can learn more about this vulnerable species. We need urgent action to bring an end to these crimes.
