🎉Exciting news!🎉 This morning, after a few days peering out at the world and thinking about taking the plunge, the first bee-eater chick fledged the nest! Slightly greener in appearance than the adults, it has since been back and forth, in and out of the nest, and its sibling looks set to follow soon 💙 Although we’re excited about this news, we can’t ignore the fact that these birds are usually found in the southern Mediterranean and Northern Africa - the searing temperatures they are experiencing in Norfolk will become the norm if action is not taken against climate change. #climatechange #beeeaters #fledglingbirds #ukwildlife
