The waters around Lundy Island’s rocky shores have been protected for decades and are home to one of the UK's first Marine Nature Reserves. The island has also led the charge on being a Marine Conservation Zone and a No Take Zone – a watery haven where fishing, dumping, dredging and building are banned. The result of this conservation is a spectacular diversity of marine life amid Lundy’s sandbanks, reefs, kelp forests and caves!
