It was this big! 🐟 After taking at least seven years to reach maturity, this male Tristan albatross is trying to catch the eye of a female with his impressive courtship display. These long-lived birds only breed once every two years, as it takes pairs so long to raise their single chick. With an impressive wingspan of over three metres, Tristan albatrosses are one of three albatross species endemic to Tristan da Cunha. Atlantic yellow-nosed and sooty albatrosses are also found nowhere else in the world.
